Volunteer Registration Process
If you are interested in getting involved as a volunteer and want more information on how you can contribute, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at 613-623-1541.
The following steps will show you how to apply as a volunteer with Ottawa Special Olympics:
Step 1
Contact the Volunteer Coordinator and provide a clear message, with your name, address, and phone number. The Volunteer Coordinator will contact you to discuss current volunteer opportunities and confirm which program you will be joining.
Step 2
Complete the Police Service Police Records Check Request to request a Volunteer Records Check. Take this form and your identification to your local Arnprior OPP Police station to process your Police Service Police Records Check (PRC), you will be contacted when it is ready to pick up.
Note: You must have a completed Police Records Check before you can participate as a volunteer.
Step 3
Once you receive the Police Records Check, please complete the following forms and contact the Volunteer Coordinator to hand all the documents in to the Arnprior Club.
- Volunteer Registration Form Note: In the registration form please include two non-family references and don’t forget to sign it!
- Volunteer Health Information Form and
- Volunteer Confidentiality Form
Step 4
Once forms are received by the Volunteer Coordinator, you will be connected with the Head Coach of the appropriate program(s).
Step 6
Start volunteering and/or coaching and don’t forget to have fun
